What is the step-by-step AC installation process homeowners should know?

The AC installation process moves from a home assessment and permitting to equipment setup, system testing, and a final homeowner walkthrough. The most important early step is proper sizing using a load calculation so the new system cools efficiently and avoids short cycling. A licensed team then handles permits, safe removal of any old unit, and quality checks that confirm airflow and performance before handoff. Technicians also register manufacturer warranties and review operation and care. Our crews regularly manage these steps across the Denver area, including Morrison. Estimates on new systems are always free.

Here are the typical steps:

• In‑home consultation: load calculation, system selection, confirm details, and obtain permits.
• Installation day: protect your home, remove old equipment, set the new unit, and connect refrigerant and electrical.
• Commissioning: test components, verify airflow and performance, and configure the thermostat.
• Wrap‑up: homeowner walkthrough, operation tips, warranty registration, and maintenance recommendations.

Clear a path to your equipment and note any thermostat or comfort issues you want addressed before the crew arrives.
